Refund & Cancellation Policy
Career Thinking
Effective Date: 9/01/2026
Overview
At Career Thinking, we are committed to providing high-quality career guidance experiences. Our service packages combine immediate access to digital career-learning tools (the Which Career for Me programme and Reflective Workbooks) with scheduled professional time with a trained Thinking Partner.
Because elements of our services begin immediately upon purchase, the following refund and cancellation policy applies to all purchases made via www.careerthinking.co.za.
Digital Products & Assessment Access (WCFM Programme)
Most Career Thinking packages (Solo, Guided, and Holistic) include immediate access to the Which Career for Me (WCFM) digital programme and downloadable Reflective Workbooks.
Immediate Access & Cooling-Off Waiver
In terms of Section 42(2)(f) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), the standard seven-day cooling-off period does not apply once a service has begun with the consumer’s consent.
Policy:
By clicking “Purchase Now” and accessing the WCFM programme or downloading the Reflective Workbook, you confirm that the service has commenced. The digital portion of your package — Which Career for Me online programme cost equal to our Solo Pathfinder rate — becomes non-refundable once access has been granted.
Cancellation & Rescheduling of Scheduled Sessions
(Thinking Partner / Coaching Sessions)
Packages that include live sessions (Guided, Holistic, and Top-Up sessions) are subject to the following terms:
Rescheduling:
You may reschedule a session at no cost by providing at least 24 hours’ notice to your Thinking Partner.
Late Cancellations & No-Shows:
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed sessions without notice, are regarded as forfeited sessions and cannot be refunded or reclaimed.
Refunds for Unused Sessions in Multi-Session Packages
If you choose to discontinue a Guided or Holistic package before all scheduled sessions have been completed:
The digital programme portion (WCFM) remains non-refundable once access has been provided.
The balance relating to unused sessions will be refunded pro-rata, less a 10% administrative cancellation fee, as permitted under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) to cover transaction, administrative, and banking costs.
Cooling-Off Period (Before Access)
If you have purchased a package but have not yet logged into the WCFM programme or downloaded any digital materials, you are entitled to cancel the transaction within seven (7) days of purchase and receive a full refund, in line with ECTA provisions.
Termination by Career Thinking
In the unlikely event that Career Thinking or a Thinking Partner is unable to deliver a scheduled service due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered the choice of:
rescheduling the affected session(s), or
receiving a pro-rata refund for the undelivered portion of your package.
How to Request a Refund
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to rentia@careerthinking.co.za together with proof of purchase.
Approved refunds will be processed within 7 business days.
